  One of the best parts of this DnB Sample Pack is it's Piano and Rhodes Loops, which were real performances hand picked from a large collection of captured sessions, picked out carefully so that they gelled with the accompanying Drum Breaks in the product.

  The bass sounds featured in this product were made using Xfer Serum, some of which feature in Tech Flavours Serum Presets (along side a collection of heavier and darker tech-inspired bass sounds).

  The Drum Loops and Samples were modelled on the signature sounds of Liquid DnB’s light and skipping breaks, that are a consistent feature within the sub-genre across the years since it’s inception. Magnetic, energetic and intricate, the Liquid Break acts as the superglue that holds tracks together.   What Is Liquid DnB?

  Liquid is a sub-genre of Drum & Bass, which is said to have been pioneered by the artist Fabio alongside Sarah Sandy in 1999. Originally coined “Liquid Funk”, it was slow to gain recognition until bursting into the forefront in 2003/2004, where it quickly established itself as one of the most popular sub-genres of Drum & Bass music - a position it holds still to this day.

  It’s continued popularity is likely due to it’s focus on bright and soulful moods, melodies and vocals, making it among the most approachable styles for new listeners who were not accustomed to the fast BPM of the genre or its breaks.

  Liquid Drum and Bass is identifiable by its use of Soul/Jazz/RnB inspired sampling and vocals, and is easily distinguishable from other forms of Drum & Bass by its melodicness and uplifting vibe - a counterpart to the darker style of Techstep.
